How to train puppy ears. Be sure to shave both sides of the puppies ears before tapeing them. Before you tape the ears, make sure that you shave them on both sides. You can leave the ears taped up like this for maybe four days or so. Giving them a break in between, if you need to tape them back up again. Also make sure that you take a Q-tip and clean around the inside of the ear each time you remove the tape. I usually start taping puppies ears when there about five or six weeks old.
